Benjamin und ich haben es endlich geschafft zur Aufzeichnung. Der Musical Darsteller ist St. Pauli Fan und natürlich Musik-Fan. Sein erstes Konzert waren die – Achtung festhalten – Spice Girls!
Bei mir war es „JBO“, wenn ich mich richtig erinnere. Aber unvergesslich war ein Konzert im Fußballstadion in Köln – da durfte ich AC/DC erleben.
Benjamin und ich haben uns auf AIDA kennengelernt, als er Gastkünstler war und ich Entertainment Manager. Aber was ich in dem Moment nicht wusste: ich habe Benjamin schon Monate vorher erlebt. In dem sagenhaften Musical: Kinky Boots in Hamburg/St. Pauli. Ein unfassbar tolles Stück, das für Benjamin und seine Kollegen ein Herzensstück war, obwohl sie relativ früh wussten, dass Kinky Boots nicht lange in Hamburg laufen wird. Eigentlich muss man das Musical gesehen haben, es hat eine Botschaft, es ist toll, bunt und einfach wunderbar. Bemerkenswert: am Ende, beim großen Finale tanzen ALLE in Boots mit Pfennig- oder zumindest mittelgroßen Absätzen – auch Benjamin, der sehr muskulös ist 😉
Benjamin war auch die Zweitbesetzung in Shrek und noch ein paar mehr Rollen in diesem – ebenfalls tollen Musical, auch bei Sister Act oder „Heiße Ecke“ in Hamburg hat er gespielt. Selbstverständlich hat er viele Auditions besucht. Auch „Frozen“ hätte in sehr gereizt – in der Rolle des Saunabesitzers. Natürlich hat er auch bei „König der Löwen“ vorgesprochen – als Pumba. Und einmal hätte es fast geklappt.
Er hat auch „The Voice of Germany“ war Benjamin – in den Live Shows. Eine tolle Erfahrung, auch wenn Sido aus der Jury etwas zu ihm gesagt hat, was dafür gesorgt hat, dass er kurz mal Baff war. Trotzdem, Benjamin war dabei und letzten Ende sind diejenigen die bei The Voice und ähnlichen Formaten rauskommen nicht wirklich langfristig erfolgreich – oder zumindest die meisten. Alexander Klaws ist eine große Ausnahme, zumal er ja als Tarzan in die Musical-Welt gegangen ist.
Benjamin erzählt auch ein wenig aus dem Nähkästchen, vor allem davon was alles passiert ist, was am Ende nicht ausgestrahlt wurde. U.a. hat er bei dieser Aufzeichnung nicht nur EINMAL gesungen.
Generell hatte der Auftritt natürlich große Auswirkungen, wie z.B. Follower bei Instagram, viel positives Feedback und vieles mehr.
